Terms of use

Last updated 2026-09-12

These terms apply to the ProofAlarm mobile app, published by Nikoloz Sharikadze. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.

What the subscription gives you

ProofAlarm is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. An active subscription lets you set real alarms and use every challenge type. Without one you can still open the app and preview how the alarm and challenge screens work, but you cannot schedule a real alarm.

Current prices are shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency. Prices may change; any change applies from your next renewal, and the store will tell you before it takes effect.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Billing and renewal are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not process payments and cannot charge you directly.

How to cancel

Cancel any time from your store account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

We do not take payments, so we cannot issue refunds. All refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. If a refund request is rejected, that decision is the store's and not ours to overturn. Write to us anyway if something went wrong, and we will help where we can.

ProofAlarm is not a safety device

Do not rely on ProofAlarm where oversleeping has serious consequences. It is not a medical device, not a safety device, and not a certified timekeeping system. It runs on a consumer phone and depends on things outside our control: battery level, operating system settings, notification and background permissions, silent and focus modes, software updates, and hardware faults. Any of these can stop an alarm sounding.

If missing a wake-up would endanger you or anyone else, or affect your health, your job, or your safety, use an independent alarm as well. ProofAlarm makes no claim about your sleep quality, your health, or your productivity, and is not a substitute for medical advice.

Using the app properly

Use ProofAlarm lawfully. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with it, resell or redistribute it, or use it in a way that interferes with anyone else's use. Never use the camera challenges while driving or anywhere that requires your attention. The app and everything in it, including its name, design, and mascot, remain our property; your subscription is a licence to use it, not a transfer of ownership.

Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app, and may stop supporting older operating system versions. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will not take a renewal payment for a period we cannot deliver.

Limitation of liability

ProofAlarm is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed, or failed alarm, including lost income, missed appointments, or missed transport.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page with its last-updated date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
